Jill Gobert returned to the SIU Foundation as Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations in January 2008, after serving as Executive Director of the John A. Logan Foundation for over one year.   She previously held the position of Director of Development for the SIU College of Liberal Arts (CoLA) for seven years.  Prior to her appointment in CoLA, Jill was the Development Officer for Morris Library and she also served as the Field Representative for the SIU College of Engineering off-campus Industrial Technology Program.

While Executive Director of the John A. Logan College Foundation, she advanced the Foundation’s fundraising programs and re-instated the College’s Alumni Services and its Alumni Association. During her time as Director of Development at SIU, she was instrumental in securing contributions that enabled the College of Liberal Arts to significantly surpass its $7.75-million comprehensive campaign goal.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in marketing and Master of Business Administration, both from Southern. Jill received top academic honors while at SIU and is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honors Society. 

Jill resides in Carbondale with her husband, Daniel, and three children, David, Steven, and Megan.

As Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations, Jill coordinates fundraising activities for the University, engages in personal cultivation, and solicits funds for Southern.
