Eden Thorne joined the Southern Illinois University Foundation as Constituent Development officer for the College of Engineering in October 2008.   Eden is responsible for developing and securing fundraising initiatives for the College.   

She earned a Bachelor of Science in engineering technology from SIU.  Thorne was previously employed by the Illinois Department of Transportation, where she worked as a relocation and property manager and staff negotiator.  During her 24 years in the engineering management field, Eden has also been employed as a design engineering technician, land acquisition technician, and design squad leader.

Eden has been actively involved in various SIU organizations since her graduation, including the SIU Athletic Booster Club, the SIU Alumni Association, and Inspiring Women.  She has also taken part in a variety of fundraising projects for numerous community organizations.
