Nanditha Balasubramanian joined Southern Illinois University, Carbondale as Assistant Director of Annual Giving in January 1996. Currently serving as Director of Annual Giving, Nanditha develops, organizes, implements and supervises a comprehensive annual fund program which includes direct mail and phone solicitation to cultivate and receive the support of Southern Illinois University alumni and friends. Nanditha is an alumna of Eastern Illinois University, having earned a master of arts in political science in 1992 and a master of science in education (College Student Personnel Administration) in 1994. As a graduate student in the College Student Personnel Administration program, Nanditha was the recipient of the Errett Warner/Stanley Rives Presidential award for Outstanding Graduate Student in Higher Education. This award is given in recognition of outstanding scholastic achievement and a record of campus leadership.
In 1997, Nanditha was the recipient of the Virginia Carter Smith Fellowship awarded by the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). This fellowship recognizes new professionals who demonstrate new ideas and commitment to the field of Institutional Advancement. Most recently, Nanditha received the Pride of CASE V Award in the category “Best Program for Annual Giving” (Silver Medal) in recognition of the outstanding success of the annual calendar mailing. |
