Advance Record Maintenance Requests
General Advance Entity Updates
Advance’s "I Have an Update" function may be used to request updates to an existing Advance record. These updates include information such as name, address, employment, degree, relationships, etc. To use “I Have an Update:”
- Use Entity Lookup to find the constituent’s record.
- Click “I Have an Update” on the navigation tree to open a simple submission form.
- Select the most relevant Change Type, enter information concerning your update, and submit the form.
To notify Advancement Services of a death, email the following information to Deceasing@foundation.siu.edu:
- Decedent’s Full Name & Advance ID
- Surviving Spouse’s Full Name & Advance ID (if available)
- Date of Death (if available)
- Obituary information or other evidence of death
Advancement Services staff will complete and circulate a Deceasing Routing Form.
To notify Advancement Services of a divorce, email the following information to Divorcing@foundation.siu.edu:
- Divorcees’ Full Names & Advance IDs
- Date of divorce (if available)
- Any available evidence of divorce
