Chancellor Austin A. Lane invites you to join fellow Southern Illinois University alumni, friends and university representatives for a special evening during the Saluki Takeover Tour in Champaign-Urbana.

This year's Chancellor's Reception will be held at The Venue CU, located in the heart of downtown Champaign across from the train station. Guests will gather in the Varsity Room, with drinks served in the Main Street Lounge, which features the original bar counter from Vriner's Confectionery.

Enjoy complimentary appetizers from Big Grove Tavern and drink tickets while reconnecting with fellow Salukis, meeting university leaders and hearing the latest updates from SIU.

Whether you live in Champaign-Urbana or are traveling from elsewhere in central Illinois, this is an opportunity to strengthen your Saluki connections and celebrate all that is happening at Southern Illinois University.

Saturday, Sept. 19, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. - SIU Alumni Tailgate at University of Illinois

Join the SIU Alumni Association and hundreds of your fellow alumni as we head to Champaign-Urbana for one of the most anticipated matchups in recent Saluki football history. SIU takes on the Illinois Fighting Illini on Saturday, September 19.

Before the kickoff, gather with us for an unforgettable alumni tailgate experience. With a large crowd expected for this historic showdown, the tailgate will be the premier place for SIU alumni, fans, and friends on the road.

The event will open at 10 a.m., featuring great food and opportunities to reconnect with other Salukis.
