Brian Flath | SIU Foundation | SIU

Brian Flath joined The Foundation in July 2024 as the Director of Development for Student Affairs. He is a 1997 graduate of SIU Carbondale, with a Journalism degree, specializing in Advertising. He worked for Lee Enterprises as an advertising sales representative from 1997-2015, at both The Southern Illinoisan and Herald & Review newspapers. In August 2015, he joined WSIU Public Broadcasting to work in the Corporate Support Department, serving as the Associate Director from September 2018 to July 2024.

He is involved in several community organizations, including the Carterville Area Rotary Club, several local chambers of commerce, the Knights of Columbus Council #10453, and The Night’s Shield in West Frankfort.

He resides in Carterville with his wife Jennifer, daughter Bec, and son Evan.
