John Hostler joined the SIU Foundation in April 2018 as executive director of advancement services.

John has led and streamlined advancement services units since 2000 for organizations including St. Bonaventure University, Columbia College Chicago, Saint Louis University and – most recently – Belmont University in Nashville, TN. He played an integral role in the planning and implementation of Belmont’s ongoing $300 million “We Believe” campaign. John also launched Chicago’s Grant Park Group, a nonprofit consultancy, with several colleagues in 2012.

John earned his bachelor’s degree (1992) and MBA (1994) from the University of Missouri. He and his family reside in Carbondale.
