Michael Moore | SIU Foundation | SIU

Michael Moore has been named the Senior Director of Gift Planning. He has served as the Director of Development for the College of Liberal Arts and as the Director of Major Gifts for SIU Athletics. He has been at the SIU Foundation since February 2017.

Prior to his arrival at SIU, Moore served as the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) for 19 years. His tenure was highlighted by the transition of the program to Division I status. He was inducted into the IUPUI Athletics Hall of Fame in 2023.

The Lancaster, Ohio native has also worked at the University of Evansville, Davidson College, and Vanderbilt University. He received both his BA (History ‘78) and Master's (Sports Administration ‘80) from Ohio University. He also served in the US Army from 1972-74.
