Sara Bond | SIU Foundation | SIU

Sara Bond joined the SIU Foundation as director of development in 2018. She serves as the regional representative for the Central U.S. Region.

Bond has had a lifelong love for philanthropy and has been in executive leadership with over 20 years of experience through program development and administration in both non-profit and for-profit industries. She has served in roles of founder, executive director, board member and president for several southern Illinois non-profits, including Artstarts Company, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) of Franklin County as well as The Night’s Shield Children’s Shelter with local fundraising efforts with hundreds of caring people raising millions of dollars. 

Serving on numerous boards, state and local, including Prevent Child Abuse Illinois, CASA of Franklin County and currently board president of The Night’s Shield Children’s Shelter. 

When Sara isn’t in “foundation mode” you will find her spending lots of time with her grandchildren, and hosting numerous get-togethers with family and friends.
