Thomas Becker | SIU Foundation | SIU

Thomas Becker joined Saluki Athletics as the Assistant Director of Development in June 2026.

A lifelong Saluki, Thomas began his career at SIU in 2013. He gained extensive campus experience working as a Resident Assistant in University Housing and as a Graduate Assistant in the College of Business & Analytics Business Placement Center. Upon earning his master’s degree, he served as Coordinator for the Business Placement Center for five years before transitioning to SIU Athletics, where he served as the Group Sales & Special Events Coordinator and most recently as the Interim Assistant Athletic Director for Ticketing.

Thomas holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Business Economics (2017) and an MBA (2018) from SIU Carbondale, and he is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Education at SIU. He resides in Carbondale with his wife, Kaitlyn (SIU, '17, '19), and their son. Outside of work, they enjoy reading, attending concerts, and spending time with their cats.
