SIU Carbondale and the SIU Foundation retain six percent of all gifts to enhance philanthropic-related initiatives. It is the Foundation’s goal to increase private support, which will assist the various colleges of the university in providing quality services to its students, alumni and the communities we serve.
Southern Illinois University Foundation is registered to solicit charitable contributions with the appropriate governing authorities in all states requiring registration. Financial and other information about the Foundation’s purpose, programs, and activities can be obtained by contacting the Southern Illinois University Foundation, Colyer Hall-Mail Code 6805, 1235 Douglas Drive, Carbondale, IL 62901, (618) 453-4900 (siuf.org) or as specified below for residents of the following states.
STATE SPECIFIC DISCLOSURES
California: The official registration and financial information can be obtained from the Attorney General’s website at https://oag.ca.gov/charities. Registration does not imply endorsement.
Maryland: For the cost of copies and postage, documents and information submitted under the Maryland Solicitations Act are available from the Secretary of State. A copy of the current financial statement of the Southern Illinois University Foundation is available on request. Michigan: The Southern Illinois University Foundation is registered with the State of Michigan, Department of Attorney General, Registration Number MICS 41813.
New Jersey: INFORMATION FILED WITH THE ATTORNEY GENERAL CONCERNING THIS CHARITABLE SOLICITATION AND THE PERCENTAGE OF CONTRIBUTIONS RECEIVED BY THE CHARITY DURING THE LAST REPORTING PERIOD THAT WERE DEDICATED TO THE CHARITABLE PURPOSES MAY BE OBTAINED FROM THE ATTORNEY GENERAL OF THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY BY CALLING 973-504-6215 AND IS AVAILABLE ON THE INTERNET AT https://www.state.nj.us/lps/ca/charfrm.htm. REGISTRATION WITH THE ATTORNEY GENERAL DOES NOT IMPLY ENDORSEMENT.
New York: A person may obtain from the Southern Illinois University Foundation or from the Attorney General, a copy of the last financial report filed by the Foundation with the Attorney General. Oregon: Registration in no way constitutes or implies any endorsement, sanction or approval of the solicitation, its purposes, the manner in which it is conducted or the person or organization conducting it, by the Attorney General or any other governmental agency or officer.
Washington: The Southern Illinois University Foundation is registered with the Washington Secretary of State, Registration Number 26698. A person may obtain additional financial and other information on file with the Secretary of State at https://www.sos.wa.gov/charities/ or 800-332-4483.
West Virginia: West Virginia residents may obtain a summary of the registration and financial documents from the Secretary of State, State Capitol, Charleston, West Virginia 25305. Registration does not imply endorsement.
Wisconsin: A financial statement of the charitable organization disclosing assets, liabilities, fund balances, revenue and expenses for the preceding fiscal year will be provided to the person upon request.
Contributions are deductible for federal income tax purposes in accordance with applicable law.
Registration with a state agency does not constitute or imply endorsement, approval or recommendation by that state.
