SIU College of Engineering

The College of Engineering, Computing, Technology, and Mathematics is one of the fastest-growing colleges on the SIU campus and includes six schools – School of civil, environmental, and infrastructural engineering, School of computer, electrical and biomedical engineering, School of mechanical, aerospace, and materials engineering, School of Computing, School of Applied Engineering and Technology, and School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences.

The college seeks to build relationships that enhance our ability to further our mission. Programs in our college provide students with extensive knowledge in engineering and technology. We have high academic standards. Our teaching labs are equipped with state-of-the-art instruments and equipment, and our faculty members are engaged in cutting-edge research and innovation.

Furthermore, the undergraduate degree in electrical engineering technology is accredited by the Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET. Also, the undergraduate degree program in industrial technology is accredited by the Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering.

We strive to prepare our students for career success in each of the aforementioned fields by providing internships and other opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience.
