Southern Illinois University Carbondale has a long and proud tradition in graduate education and research. It is a Carnegie Research University that offers 75 master's and more than 30 doctoral programs. The Graduate School has about 4,000 students from throughout the United States and more than 90 countries and is home to 50 Fulbright students. The U.S. News and World Report ranks SIU as one of the top 100 graduate schools in the nation.

SIU’s graduate school is an environment in which students acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to compete in the global economy and solve problems of national and global scope. The school aims to provide our graduate and professional students with ample opportunities for their future employment and career success.

The graduate school does its best to support its students — more than half of them receive some funding from teaching, research and administrative assistantships and fellowships. They count on us, and we count on them. Your generous contributions will help the school support its outstanding graduate students.
